Geerlings Named Senior VP/GM for Prescriptives

Caroline Geerlings has been named senior vice president, general manager, Prescriptives Worldwide, effective Nov. 26, reporting to John Demsey, group president, The Estée Lauder Companies.  Ms. Geerlings was most recently the senior vice president, global marketing, MAC Cosmetics.

Ms. Geerlings began her career in cosmetics at Prescriptives International, eventually becoming vice president, marketing, in 1988. At this position, she oversaw the launch of the brand in key international markets and was a leader in the team that increased sales by 300% over a four-year period.  Ms. Geerlings then moved to Christian Dior Perfumes, Inc. and was named senior vice president, marketing, where she significantly improved the company’s ranking with major retailers. She returned to The Estée Lauder Companies in 1999 as senior vice president, global marketing, MAC Cosmetics.  
At MAC, Ms. Geerlings was a key part of the management team that shaped the future vision and success of the brand.  She oversaw not only the marketing function, but also MAC new launch management, makeup artistry, artist research and online commerce.  During her tenure at MAC, the brand achieved the number one position in the U.S. prestige makeup market and more than quadrupled its net sales.

Ms. Geerlings succeeds Andrea Robinson in the Prescriptives brand.
